Overview
We are recruiting for a London-based insurance company seeking an experienced Syndicate Reporting Accountant to join their Finance Syndicate team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory returns to Lloyd’s, managing regulatory reporting, and supporting key finance projects and systems development.
Role & Responsibilities:
Prepare and review Lloyd’s Regulatory returns, including QMA, QMB, SBF, US Situs, Cad Situs, NAIC, TRIA/FIO, and other required reports.
Oversee the Syndicate reporting timetable, sign-off processes, and preparation of Syndicate Financial Statements.
Support the Lloyd’s capital setting process and distribution projects and assist with finance reporting rationalization initiatives.
Collaborate with the finance, actuarial, and MI teams to maintain strong communication and effective procedures.
Provide guidance to junior team members and liaise with external auditors for evidence and reporting.
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with experience in Lloyd’s insurance market and regulatory reporting.
Proficient with Lloyd’s Core Market Returns, Market Data Collections, and relevant overseas reporting systems.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
Advanced Excel skills: familiarity with Workday, Phinsys, and Clearwater is a plus.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain productive working relationships across teams.
